Prepare Before Opening Day

Build the quote and application packet before the portal fills.

Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation accepts no more than 600 applications each quarter. The July cycle filled rapidly, so departments should prepare their quote, narratives, contacts, and attachments well before the next opening.

Our role is practical: help your agency identify eligible rescue equipment, prepare a compliant official vendor quote, and draft clear language about the local need, current equipment gap, and community impact.

Quick Start

Start your department's next-cycle preparation.

Send the basics now and Southern Rescue Tools will follow up about eligibility, equipment planning, the official quote, and the full application worksheet.

1 Department And Contact

Nearest Firehouse Subs

Enter the department ZIP code to check the nearest current location.

This estimate uses the center of the ZIP code. It is guidance, not an eligibility decision.

The 60-mile radius is a guideline. The Foundation encourages, but does not require, applicants to notify their local Firehouse Subs restaurant.
2 Grant Fit

Keep the request to one related equipment package

Examples include an extrication package, a Res-Q-Jack stabilization, lifting, or shoring package, or a Matjack air-lifting bag package. Do not combine unrelated categories, such as extrication tools with fire hose or AEDs with gas monitors.

Required acknowledgments

Do not enter an EIN, W-9 information, financial records, passwords, or sensitive operational details. Your department submits those materials directly to the Foundation.

Independent Department Submission

Professional help without taking over the application.

Your department supplies the facts. Southern Rescue Tools prepares the equipment quote and draft language. Your authorized agency contact reviews, edits, approves, and submits everything directly through the official portal.

How This Works

A simple, compliant support process.

01

Tell us the need

Share your department, response area, current equipment gap, and the rescue tools you are considering.

02

We prepare the quote

We create an itemized official quote with the required contact, equipment, accessory, tax, freight, and installation details.

03

We draft language

We help shape your background, need statement, and community impact language using your real department facts.

04

You submit directly

Your agency reviews everything, confirms accuracy, and submits through the official grant portal.

What To Gather

Have these items ready before you start.

Official organization name, physical address, EIN, and W-9 Main and alternate contacts with different email and phone information One acceptable financial document: a balance sheet or profit and loss statement from within one month, a current annual budget, a prior-year audit, or a prior-year Form 990 Equipment inventory listing apparatus, rescue tools, PPE, and specialized equipment Brief department history and explanation of how the grant benefits the community One itemized vendor quote for one related equipment category Add no-reply@wizehive.app to the department's safe-sender list before opening day

Rescue Equipment Requests

Eligible, mission-focused equipment packages.

TNT rescue cutter

Extrication Tools

Cutters, spreaders, rams, power units, accessories, and department-specific rescue tool packages.

Vehicle stabilization equipment in use

Stabilization

Vehicle stabilization, lifting, and shoring equipment for safer extrication and rescue operations.

Rescue tool battery platform equipment

Tool Planning

Package planning that aligns requested equipment, quantities, quote totals, and operational need.

One related equipment package per application: the rule does not limit departments to cutters, spreaders, and rams. A single request may instead be a related Res-Q-Jack stabilization/lifting package, a Matjack air-lifting bag package, a glass-access package, or another eligible lifesaving-equipment category. The single quote cannot combine unrelated categories, such as extrication tools with fire hose or AEDs with gas monitors.
